IRM :

- The Integrated,              implies complementary use of multiple activities and practices.

The Resources,                are the common natural resources such as soil, water, air, plants, and animals, but also genetics, chemistries, soil microbes, livestock, crops, and the existing operational knowledge, skills, equipment and capitol.

The Management,           refers to a set of decision rules based on ecological principles, and social and economic considerations.

It is important to recognize that the IRM concept is founded on strategies, not individual practices.
